This award, named in honor of Pat Rowland of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (Retired), is periodically awarded to IAMI members who have distinguished themselves by service to the Association.
Candidates may be nominated by any IAMI member in good standing. Candidates are selected for the award based upon exemplary service above and beyond what is expected of association members, or for other significant acts bringing favorable credit to the Association. When possible, the review and decision to grant this award will be made by previous winners. This award will be presented at the IAMI Annual Training Seminar.
In honoring “The Patrick Rowland Lifetime Achievement Award,” IAMI recognizes the best members' work values and accomplishments demonstrated throughout their lifetime career. A nomination cannot be made by the nominee.
Emphasis on what the nominee has done for IAMI with little or no personal gain over their tenure as a member.
Provide a detailed list of accomplishments done by the nominee contributing to the success of IAMI.
There should be at least one significant incident included in the members' list of accomplishments contributing to the success of IAMI.
Criteria that should be included in the nomination can include, but are not limited to:
Member in good standing – Minimum 15 Years
Should have served as a board member for at least 4 years.
